Whether you are into a simpler sort of ceremony with only the closest people in your life, or you just aren’t into spending all your life savings on a wedding, the City Hall wedding is the perfect way to tie the knot!
We think that there is something really special about this type of wedding. The main focus is on the bride and groom, there is a lack of distraction and it simply has an overall intimate atmosphere. The City Hall wedding is often less showy than a traditional wedding but comes out feeling more magical due to its intimacy and personal approach. It really gets down to the core of what a wedding is all about; the bride and the groom with their closest loved ones saying their vows, it really makes us swoon with love, happiness and romance!
Above is our mood board and TÉLIO fabric suggestions for a City Hall wedding dress, but with this style of wedding anything goes. You can go for a short or long dress, a traditional white or pattered fabric. It can be vintage or modern, have a peter pan collar or a full skirt. Whatever it is, you need to feel comfortable in it and make it something you would be able to wear again! And don’t be afraid to add a little colour. Laces and satins are always great options for a classic look. For the accessories; if your dress is short, show off your shoes. You can jazz up a basic pair of shoes with vintage shoe clips, or clips made of luxurious fabrics, bright colours or even sequins. Perhaps a birdcage or veil for your hair and a personalized tie bar for your hubby to be!

For the special finishing touches, you might want to try some DIY projects. For example make your own birdcage veil! Because even though you will be saving a fortune with a City Hall wedding, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a wedding dress that is both elegant and distinctively you!
