Last week, we had the pleasure of receiving students from Baylor University‘s Apparel Design & Product Development program at our headquarters.
Every summer, the university alternates their study tours between Europe and North America (Montreal and New York). This was the third time we had the pleasure of welcoming them it was a blast, as per usual.
In their program, the Baylor students learn everything from Fashion Illustration, Apparel Design, Costume History, Fashion Forecasting and of course textiles. Which is why they came armed with very pertinent questions about our operations, our products and our design/merchandising daily tasks. It’s always fun to give tours to groups of students who ask lots of questions, it shows that they’re interested and curious but it also completes our presentation with more detailed and specific information that wouldn’t necessarily be part of the tour.
When we found out all the other places they were going on their summer study tour, we were totally jealous of them! In Montreal, they visited the Aldo head office, Holt Renfrew, Philippe Dubuc, Eve Gravel and LaMarque. In New York, they hit up a plethora of fashion destinations including the Calvin Klein archives (we would die!)
We hope the rest of their trip was fun and educational and we can’t wait to see them in 2017!
