Digital textile printing has been emerging as a popular trend within the industry, allowing for photo-like quality graphics being seamlessly translated onto a variety of fabrics. In comparison to the traditional form of textile printing which relies on silk-screens (and tedious work), this new technology allows for a seamlessly repeated pattern which offers more colour variants. This means more shading, more gradients, and a richer variety of colour, allowing these prints to really pop with clarity.
A growing trend in visual communications and fast-fashion, digital printing has allowed for corporate branding onto wearable media. This process has also dramatically reduced the time delays inherent to conceiving a print from start to finish, resulting in faster production and immediate trend-setting. The process very much mimics that of a printer- it is an ink jet based method which deposits thousands of small droplets of ink in order to create a pattern, and is then finished with heat to seal in the colourants.
Télio has been quick to hop on the digital print trend, and we’re continuously building upon our collection of these types of prints. Currently, we offer digital prints on silk, linens, cashmeres, chiffons, rayons, cottons, and polyesters, in a rich variety of prints, textures, and colours!
