The Optical Monochrome look is a nod to the 60’s when the trend of graphic stripes and optical illusions naturally gave rise to manipulated stripe patterns, bringing movement shape and dimension to striped apparel. These updated looks echoed the works of Bauhaus masters like Anni and Josef Albers. Black and white went graphic on the F/W 14-15 runway as designer’s presented intricately geometric patterns, trompe l’oeil effects and Rorscach-style motifs. TÉLIO has some great fabrics that work perfectly with this trend.
