Katelyn, TÉLIO’S graphic designer, sends us inspirational images every season which I hang on the wall for my customers to view while they look through the new season’s fabrics. This last season, one photo kept telling me that I had to make one just like it. I decided to make two versions; one being edgy and the other feminine.
I have always been a huge fan of taking a basic, sportswear item and reworking it into another look. This fashionable pullover is no exception.
-Fancy print or texture knit for center front
-Print At Home Pattern
I used .60 meter (.70 yard) for the front piece (you may want to use more or less depending on your torso length) and 1 meter (1.2 yards) of a knit fabric for the back and sleeves.
For the edgy look, I used TELIO’S style 30615 French Fleece in colour 02 for the back and sleeves combined with TELIO’S style 34732 Milan Tweed colour 02 for the center front. For the feminine look, I used TELIO’S style 30615 French Fleece colour 03 combined with TELIO’S 34764 Santa Cruz Knit colour 01.
We have a variety of options that could work. I’ve put together some combinations here for you to view!
I used this print at home pattern for my raglan sleeve. Be sure to print or read all instructions before cutting and sewing your fabric.
For the finished length of the band across the waist, take the full measurement (without stretching) and subtract 10%. I found this to still be a little too big So, I subtracted about 15%. Use the same method for the collar and the sleeves. Width of the bands is up to you. Double the desired finished width and add seam allowance.
Now you have your completed Raglan Pullover. ENJOY!
