It looks like some trendy birds rolled out of bed and were too lazy to get dressed this season, but it’s not the first time we’ve seen this sleepy look. The Pajama fashion trend became popular in the late 20’s and was worn as classic evening wear. It was also popularized by Hollywood movies, like Pulp Fiction, Rear Window and film Noir. This fall-winter 13-14, this mysterious, feminine/masculine trend is being seen everywhere! The PJ girl has a vintage heroine look out of a Hitchcock movie with her bed head and smoky eyes, a silky wide shirt and matching slouching pants. The key to achieving this effortless look is combining style & comfort with all lines being relaxed and comfortable.
We have been seeing stripes, polka dots, paisley and funky pj patterns being worn by bloggers, stars, and young trendsetters on the city streets. If you want to jump on this trend but are afraid to look like you forgot to get dressed in the morning, be sure to pair your key pajama piece with something you wouldn’t wear to bed. A statement necklace, vintage inspired coat, high heels and some red lipstick will transform this bedtime look into a daytime/evening look! We don’t call it sweater season anymore; we call it PJ’s season!
Would you see yourself pulling off this look?
