Monica Chui, designer for Aime Luxury recently discovered Julie Clark and her hand crafted, all natural beauty line, Province Apothecary at Toronto’s west end Junction Flea Market. Being a huge fan of Julie’s skin care products, I couldn’t resist attending the Earth Day Trunk Show that Monica personally hosted! It was the perfect showcase for these two talents to introduce each other’s love of eco-friendly products.
Monica (Designer for Aime Luxury) really wowed me with her combination of TÉLIO’s textiles in her garments. I love seeing nontraditional items used with the latest fashion trends. For example, Monica’s Olivia Skinny Pant used TÉLIO’s Cambon Tweed in the front and our Marni Knit in the back. This item is perfect for that polished look without taking away from comfort.
Province Apothecary is already one of my top favorites! My medicine cabinet is stocked full with their products. Much like the ingredients on food labels, I am often left questioning what I see on the labels of most beauty products. Even the ones claiming to be all natural products are usually very far from it. There is never a doubt in my mind whether or not the contents in Province Apothecary’s products are good for me. They make my beauty routine very simple and enjoyable. Julie can usually make you something right on the spot which is great when you’re trying to tailor a scent to suit your personality. The other handy option she offers, is being able to order online for pickup at one of their stores or to even have it ship straight to your home. My must have item this season is the Calendula Toner. It smells so yummy that I just may end up using it as a face spritzer on those extra hot summer days.
